 WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO AMEND THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS AT ANY TIME.

1. Payment
Terms of payment depends on the channel through which booking is made. For example there may be no payment, full payment or a deposit at time of booking. Balance of payment may be required at some future time e.g. upon arrival or a set number of days before arrival.

2a. Cancellation/No Show/Booking reduction policy – Direct bookings (over the phone, via walk-in or via thekildare.co.uk website).
If you cancel a booking less than 5 days before arrival then a charge equal to the first night of the stay will be made.

A no-show will be recorded if the guest has not checked in by 7pm on the day of arrival, unless a special arrangement has been approved by The Kildare. In the event of a no show or booking reduction (after arrival date) the full cost of the booking is charged.

We reserve the right to cancel any booking without compensation, refund or reimbursement if the terms of these conditions are breached.

We could also cancel your booking if your accommodation becomes unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would attempt to offer you alternative accommodation, however if this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund any monies paid by you. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.

This cancellation policy can be overridden in the booking confirmation email, e.g. to allow for fully flexible bookings without cancellation charges.

2b. Cancellation/No Show/Booking reduction policy – OTA / 3rd party website
E.g. booking.com or Expedia will provide their policies during the booking process and/or in the confirmation email they send to you.

In all cases we do encourage you to protect yourself by using a cancellation insurance policy.

3. T&Cs visibility
We always send a link to these T&Cs in our booking confirmation email which goes out to all guests.

4. Check in policy
Check in time is 4pm – 7pm. Check ins later than 7pm can only be made by special arrangement with The Kildare. Bags can be dropped and car parking used between 12pm and 4pm. For early arrivals we will offer to check you in right away if your room is ready.

For safeguarding purposes, children under 18 must be present during check in.

5. Check out policy
Check out time is 10.00am. For late check-outs we reserve the right to make an additional charge to the card.

Early departure. Guests who depart before the confirmed reservation end date will be charged for the full reservation.

6. Smoking Policy
The Kildare is a non-smoking and non-tobacco establishment, other than the approved area. No form of smoking or smoke production is allowed anywhere within the internal building, car park or the patio garden, and within the building is illegal. This includes but is not limited to cigarettes,e-cigarettes, vapes, candles, incense, toasters, recreational drugs, open flames, high heat devices and fires of any kind. Tampering with smoke detection equipment is prohibited. Guests who do not comply with the smokling policy may be warned or asked to leave immediately without refund for days remaining on their booking, and may also be liable for an additional room cleaning fee of up to £300 to restore the room to a smoke-free environment.

There is an approved smoking area clearly marked to the right side of the building with a cigarette box. Guests are allowed to smoke here and are asked to keep the area clean and tidy with stubs placed into the box.

7. Illegal Activity
Any form of illegal activity within the premises is prohibited and we will ask you to leave. There will be no refund for any remaining days of your booking.

8. Unacceptable behaviour
Rowdy, aggressive, rude, lewd, sexist, racist, mysoginistic, violent, destructive, disruptive or threatening behaviour or physical assaults towards other guests or staff, loud or antisocial behaviour will not be tolerated under any circumstances and depending on the severity, the police may be called. You will be asked to leave immediately without any refund for remaining days on your booking.

9. Damages and missing items
For cases of missing items and damage / breakages by deliberate damage or negligance, we reserve the right to charge a guest’s card for replacement/repair costs.

10. Children over the age of 5 are welcome
We have a family room available. Children under 16 should always be accompanied by an adult. We don’t provide any childcare facilities and do not provide equipment such as high chairs or cots.

11. Dogs
Assistance dogs are welcome but unfortunately we cannot permit other dogs or pets.

12. WiFi
Guests accept to use this free access to the Internet fairly and appropriately. We may monitor network performance and user usage in order to maintain a fair and high level of service to all our guests.

The Internet access provided is intended for general use such as access to the world wide web, email, messaging, social media, light video / music / media streaming. It is not intended or ideally suited for heavy media streaming, online gaming, extensive downloads / uploads. Access to illegal activity or use of our network for illegal activity is prohibited and will be reported to local authorities.

13. Covid-19
Please do not arrive when positive for Covid-19, or if you are unwell and showing symptoms. We ask that guests take out travel insurance in case of this, so they do not lose their booking costs.

14. Off-bounds Areas
Areas that are private to the owners, or unsafe for guests will be clearly signed. Guests are not permitted in these areas.

15a. Visitors
Unfortunately we do not permit any visitors into the premises. Only the registered guests are allowed.

15b. Guest swaps
Unfortunately we do not permit guest swaps during a stay, defined as replacing one guest with another at some time during the stay. Only the guest(s) registered at check in are permitted access to the building and their room. Unregistered guests will be challenged and asked to leave.

16. Liability
We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to you or any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions.

17. Keys
You have access to the building and your room 24 hours a day throughout your stay using a set of keys given to you on arrival. You have full responsibility for these keys for the duration of your stay. Lost keys will be charged at £20.00 per set.

18. Lost Property
We are happy to send on any items you leave behind, for which we will charge your card a minimum of £5.00. This fee is payable in advance of the return.

19. Alcohol
You are permitted to bring alcohol into the premises but only for consumption by over-18’s. Please drink responsibly, enjoy your stay and respect other guests and staff.

20. Bringing in food
You are welcome to bring food into the premises but hot food, e.g. takeaways can only be consumed in the guest lounge. Hot food must not be taken to the guest’s room for consumption. 

21. Parking
Guests accept that they park their vehicles at their own risk. Parking is provided on a first come, first served basis and parking cannot be reserved under any circumstances.

22. Breakfast
Please note that breakfast food items are to be consumed in the breakfast room only and not to be take out for snacks during the day.

23. Safety Policy on Charging Devices
In all cases, It is the guest’s responsibility to ensure all charging devices are safe to use, are purchased from a reputable supplier and have the correct electrical approvals for use in the UK. If the guest is in any doubt about this, they must not to plug in or use the charging device.

23a. Permitted Charging Devices inside premises
Phone, Laptop and Tablet charging devices are permitted inside the premises and in guest bedrooms. 

23b. Non-permitted Charging Devices inside premises
To comply with fire safety regulations, charging devices for e-Bikes, e-Scooters, Mobility Scooters and other large devices are not permitted inside the premises.

23c. External charging
Mobility scooters, e-Bikes and e-Scooters can be charged in the Patio Garden area, if we are informed in advance. The guest needs to provide a suitable weather-resistant cover, as the outside charging area is not covered.

23d. Electric Vehicles
We do not provide charging facilities for Electric vehicles. The guest should plan in advance of the stay to find a suitable local charging point.

24. Reasonable Exercise of Control
The Kildare cannot create terms and conditions that cover every contingency. Therefore, The Kildare reserves the authority, in its sole discretion, to issue directions and exercise reasonable control, either orally or in writing, on a case-by-case basis. The Guest agrees to abide by the decisions of The Kildare.

The decision by The Kildare, in its sole discretion, to waive any term and condition does not constitute a waiver by The Kildare of its right to enforce any other term and condition.
